My experience at Orijin Yoga was nothing short of fantastic! As someone relatively new to yoga, I found the atmosphere warm and inviting. I did drop in Hot Yoga with Onkar as the instructor. He was not only knowledgeable but also incredibly friendly, making my second time practicing yoga feel comfortable and enjoyable.Opting for the hot yoga drop-in session was a great choice. The class challenged me physically, but the heat added an extra dimension that left me feeling both refreshed and energized. What truly stood out to me was the sense of community fostered at Orijin Yoga. Everyone, from the staff to fellow practitioners, exuded friendliness, creating a welcoming environment where I felt at ease.Overall, I had a lot of fun during my time at Orijin Yoga, and I look forward to returning to continue my yoga journey. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a positive and uplifting yoga experience!

A Warm Haven at Orijin 10; Stars if I Could. I recently embarked on a hot yoga journey at Orijin, and the experience has been nothing short of exceptional. What sets this studio apart is their friendly staff, cute and friendly receptionist, yoga instructors and also their genuine commitment to creating a welcoming space, especially for newcomers like myself. Orijin recognizes and respect that everyone regardless of their yoga expertise, has a place in their community. It's not about selling an experience; it's about inviting you to be part of something special. A significant contributor to this warm (no pun intended 😄) atmosphere is the incredible instructor, Aileen. Her dedication and knowledge are apparent in every session. What's truly remarkable is her personal touch, she knows each student by name, fostering a sense of belonging that goes beyond the mat. In a recent encounter, Aileen went above and beyond, extending her support beyond the yoga class. She took the time to address a personal matter I shared, and in the next class, she brought additional information to assist me. This level of care reflects the genuine connections fostered at Orijin. In summary, I couldn't be more pleased with my experience at Orijin. If I could, I would give it 10 stars without hesitation. The community, Aileen's personalized guidance, and the overall positive vibe make Orijin more than a hot yoga studio it's a haven where you not only practice yoga but truly belong.

What can I expect during a hot Pilates class?

In a hot pilates class, prepare for a dynamic and invigorating workout that challenges your body and uplifts your spirit. Here’s what to expect:

Intense Heat: The studio is heated to around 35-38 degrees Celsius, aiding in muscle warm-up, flexibility increase, and detoxification through sweating.

Full-Body Workout: Hot pilates features mat-based exercises targeting various muscle groups, emphasizing core strength, stability, and overall toning. It combines traditional pilates movements, cardio intervals, and bodyweight exercises in a continuous flow.

Increased Intensity: The heat amplifies the workout, challenging your cardiovascular system and enhancing movement effectiveness. Expect a quick sweat and pushing your limits with controlled, fluid motions.

Focus on Breath: Breath synchronization with movements is crucial. Deep, diaphragmatic breathing fuels muscles, maintains energy, and fosters centering throughout the practice.

Modifications and Options: Classes accommodate all fitness levels, with instructors providing modifications for each exercise, allowing intensity adjustments based on individual needs.

Mind-Body Connection: Cultivate a strong mind-body bond as you flow through sequences in the heat, enhancing awareness, reducing stress, and amplifying workout benefits.

Sense of Accomplishment: Classes often end with relaxation, providing time to reflect on the accomplishment of completing a challenging workout. You’ll leave feeling empowered and ready to tackle whatever comes your way.

How often should I attend hot Pilates classes to see results?

Consistency is vital to reaping the benefits of hot pilates. Even attending one class weekly can yield significant results over time. Each session enhances flexibility, strengthens muscles, and alleviates stress, fostering overall well-being.

By dedicating yourself to regular practice, whether it’s once weekly or more, you’ll gradually witness improvements in both physical and mental health, fully embracing the transformative potential of hot pilates.

What is the difference between hot yoga and hot pilates?

While both hot yoga and hot pilates classes utilize heat to elevate the workout experience, they diverge in focus and approach. Hot yoga emphasizes yoga postures, breathwork, and meditation, prioritizing flexibility, balance, and mindfulness.

On the other hand, hot pilates focuses on mat-based Pilates exercises designed to strengthen the core, enhance stability, and tone the entire body. While hot yoga emphasizes spiritual aspects and breath connection, hot pilates places greater emphasis on physical fitness and functional movement.

Despite their differences, both modalities provide invigorating workouts tailored to various fitness goals and preferences, making them valuable components of any wellness regimen.

What should I wear/bring to class?

Opt for lightweight, breathable attire that permits unrestricted movement, avoiding heavy fabrics or excessive layers to prevent overheating.

Remember to bring your yoga mat, a large towel to cover it, a water bottle, and consider packing a change of clothes for post-class. If you plan to shower afterward, bring an additional towel. Rentals are available at $4 per item.
