Expect to sweat—a lot! Hot Yoga/Pilates classes typically follow a sequence of poses performed in a heated room, focusing on breath control, flexibility, and strength. Your instructor will guide you through the practice, offering modifications as needed.
Hot Yoga classes are usually heated to 37-40 degrees Celsius and Hot Pilates classes are 35-37 degrees Celsius.
If you’re sensitive to heat, consider setting up closer to the door or choosing a spot near the back corners where it is slightly cooler. Listen to your body and take breaks as needed to prevent overheating.
It’s okay to take breaks, rest in a seated position, or modify poses as needed to ensure your safety and well-being. Listen to your body and do what feels comfortable to you.
You may feel energized, relaxed, and accomplished after your first Hot Yoga/Pilates class. Be sure to replenish your body with water and electrolytes to rehydrate. Some practitioners experience improved mood, increased flexibility, and reduced stress levels after regular practice.
